Haslingfield Cricket Club is a sociable village club, maintaining a tradition of cricket in the village dating back as far as the 1830s. Drawing players of all ages from the village and surrounding area, we currently run a first team playing Cambridgeshire league games on Saturday afternoons from May to early September, with home matches on the village recreation ground.
In the spring we arrange pre-season indoor nets, and the outdoor net on the recreation ground is available for use throughout the year. We also organise friendlies, social events and an annual club dinner, and we are able to keep costs down through fundraising activities and the year-round efforts of our volunteer committee and groundstaff, who are often to be seen working wonders on the wicket and outfield in preparation for the next match.
We are always keen to welcome new players, regular or occasional, so if you are interested in playing some enjoyable cricket for your local team please contact our club secretary Chris Delves on firstname.lastname@example.org.
